I would assume it is, as in 1999, which seems to be the date of the clip, JBS was in the public affairs department at Bethel. It seems when the Silentlambs problem hit Bethel, the WTS wanted someone who would take a more combative stand for them, and perhaps someone who was not so unwilling to stretch the truth. Thus over the course of one weekend, JBS and I think one other brother were removed from the department and replaced by JR Brown.
JBS, I have it on excellent source, just finished a four year degree program and has perhaps by this time, already entered law school.
As far as I know he is still an active JW.
