Should Religions be held for War Crimes ?

One thing the Watchtower was accurate about
was religions involvement with politics and war
    efforts.

Often times, in particular, having read so many
threads, it made me think whether or not religious
leaders should be held responsible regarding
war crimes and other unethical activities?

    Thinking about the Watchtower

The past couple of days have left me seriously
thinking about the Watchtower Society and
their involvement in the destruction of human
    life.

So, in consideration, I will throw the question
    out to the audience.

Do you think religious leaders should be held
responsible for war crimes and other unethical
    behavior?

    Please explain your reasons.

    Respectfully,

NO. Individuals should always be held responsible for any unethical things they do
or contribute to. They can be tried for such, including unethical things involving war.

Religions dabbling in politics, though, held responsible for doing so during a war.
Enforcement of any policy would force religion not to support it's own beliefs.
In other words, if a religion is worried that it would be prosecuted for taking a certain
side in an issue that could lead to war, then that religion would avoid applying it's
beliefs to any political issue (they all could lead to war). Almost all issues are
    political in some way.

    Hmm, interesting!

My family has been in the 'truth' for a hundred+ years.

So to me it's intriguing that you insinuate the Society's involvement in war.

Bogus! Despite my 'truth' problems it has never happened.
