As a jw you are neutral and do not get involved in political affiairs. Now that I am not active I am very political and I vote. What do you think?

I think it's wonderful that you now feel in control of your life and can involve yourself w/what you want to do. That goes for everyone that is "out" now.

    Hope you're feeling good hambeak.

I have entertained the idea of running for public office.

I noticed that I found myself more sorrowful for military funerals then I used to be, and I am finally starting to see Christmas as an act of love, and not so much a disobedience to God's ways. I often thought of how Jesus took the Pharisee's traditions and explained how they were evil, because of how they were being used. They were not seeing the weightier matters of the law, (mercy, love, etc). So what if Christmas has it's origins in Pagan/Babylonian worship. The spirit of love is there, and that is more important to Jesus then anything. It is not a selfish holiday either. It is about giving to others.

Oh yeah, the topic... I find politicians to be worse then active witnesses still. I would rather sit in a Kingdom Hall then hear two political parties badmouth each other. Plus witnesses are much funnier on stage.

I vote my conscience. If the candidates start slinging mud at one another I vote for a write-in, usually Kent Clark or The Lone Ranger.

I am definitely more opinionated with politics now. When I am at school, I give my opinion and once I find my ID, I'll get registered to vote.
