Here we go again with this crap! It was near in 1914, 1918, 1975, before the end of this generation, now they just say near. At least they are getting smarter.

"The end is just around the corner" is much like the guy driving with his turn signal on.
Oh, he's gonna turn down 1925 street! Whoops, nope. Maybe not. Oh wait, here comes 1975 street. He's definately going to turn down that one! Oh shit, maybe not. Well, he's gotta turn within a generation of streets from 1914 street. Damn, we just past 1994 street, and he's still got his signal light on.
Perhaps that's what the new light actually is, a blinking turn signal that someone forgot to turn off.
Anyway, since nobody can remember the year texts, I'll just make some up...
