This story is cute in a way....but also disturbing since it does show how JW's brainwash their young.

When my Daughter was 5 she was visiting me and at night I would listen to her pray (At that time I was still not free from the guilt, ect) Well, she started out "Dear Jehovah....OOOHHHHHHH Jehovah......(sounded just like her dad) Thank you so much for this food we're about to recieve..." No, we were not about to eat! I had to see she was imitating what she had heard many times....and I laugh, but it makes me sad too. At least I know that their truth really isn't in her heart....just her brainwashed mind, and for some reason....I think that is much better.

Kids are cute, and they sometimes as your daughter did, bring out just how ridiculous the WTBTS is. We have been fed the same hogwash over and over and over again and even the little ones have it implanted in their minds. Hopefully never in their hearts. She will get over it sooner than later I hope if she hasn't already.

My children with the exception of one are all out of the borg. Just the wife and a child in at this time, but the child is wise to all the nonsense and the b.s. Child sees right thru a lot of the nonsense and with a little bit of thinking the rest of it too.

Oh yes the "spiritual food at the improper time" bit.. or whatever. God that brings back horrible memories. It also brings back a really funny one though. I forget which brother it was that had a son who came one time to the hall without his mother, and boy was this little kid a brat. Most of the dubs laughed at him, but of course you had the stern group of tallyho's that commendeered the boy before things got out of control, and ushered him and his Father to the back room (we all know what that room is really designed for)...

That was cute. And it reminded me of this family with two little boys in our congregation. When asked to count they would count, "…16, 17, 18, 19, 14, 15,…" (Get it? lol)

One of them got baptized being about 9 years old and got disfellowshipped with 12. I have absolutely no idea what a 12 year old can do to get disfellowshipped!?

Free2See that is HORRIFYING... you know I have wondered about that... I know that some were baptised SO early they were just little kids, and wondered if any were also ever disfellowshipped as minors?

What a bunch of HORRIFIC HATEFUL HOGWASH. Dang that makes me freakin' furious.

BabaYaga, you know what, I should try to contact him. His parents are weird 200% jw. At my last attended meeting he kept starring at me, I was annoyed at that time, but I know think he saw the positive change in me. I put on weight and looked much better while a complete change from pio, ms, running up and down the hall pleasing the elders right into inactivity in one day to the next. A little while after that I heard he got d’fed. Due to his parents I wonder if he had outside help. He should be around 20 today. If I do find him there is so much I could tell him.

Your children will behave as you raise them in most cases. It depends on how big of a role you want to play in their life. The part you dont play someone else will. It could be good or bad. They are your children and their mind is like a blank sheet of paper and for the first 18 years you have a tremendous say on what is recorded on that blank sheet of paper.
