  A CURE FOR SURFACE CANCER

  Cancer troubles are becoming more numerous. We know of no remedy for internal cancers except surgery. Even then a cure is doubtful. We have recently learned of a very effective and simple remedy for cancers which show themselves on the surface of the body. We are informed that a physician, after testing this remedy, paid $1,000 for the information, and that he has established a Cancer Hospital which is doing good work. The recipe has come to us free and we are willing to communicate the formula, but to those only who are troubled with surface cancers and who will write to us directly, stating particulars. No fee will be charged, but in order to protect the sufferers, we require a promise that they will not sell the formula to others, nor receive pay for the use of it, nor communicate the formula to anybody. Any one known to be a sufferer can be informed of the terms on which the prescription is obtainable through us.

  Yet more unpleasant notoriety was aroused by Russell's sponsoring of a "cancer cure," which on analysis was revealed as being nothing other than a caustic paste of chloride of zine. Unfortunately the "cure" was not only ineffective but definitely harmful, so that some unfortunate sufferers may have had their end hastened by its application.

  The more I read about Russell, the more I think about modern day televangelists. Benny Hinn could take lessons from Russell.

  The difference is it wasn'rt Russell's remedy and he didn't charge for it, like some charlatan ministers do today. So what's the big deal. We're gonna fault him for some so called remedy 100 years ago? As if we don't have so called remedies of our own that we swear by for certain illnesses. LIke holding your breathe and drinking water to cure hiccups, or putting a penny on yourhead to cure nosebleeds, and the list goes on ....

  I saw a guy interviewed on Discovery about how his granmother used to tie a frog onto his hand when he had burned it. He's a researcher now and has discovered that the frog puts off a natural antibiotic when stressed, such as being tied to his little boy hand. His granny was on to something. Now they have synthesized it and are going to be marketing it soon. Its very effective and will be used for internal infections too.

  You never know. Russell was just off on this one. The were into that sort of wacky crap back then. Many witnoids are still health food nuts. I hate it.

  It may have been a ploy so as to get more subscribers for their magazines, and can one realistically expect the general public not to pass on the secret of this cancer "cure"?
