Yup. I tried reconciling the two halves when I became a JW. I used all their convoluted reasoning trying to come up with logical explanations for why the Almighty seemed to have a multiple personality disorder.

It UTTERLY blows my mind why people believe in a god or the bible, especially the people from here!

All religions twist the scriptures to fit what they want....and that would be one thing if the scriptures had nothing wrong with them, because then you could seek 'truth' out for yourself if need be.....But the bible has way to many contradictions and errors to be even remotely true.

I just don't get it!

The bible if it is anything, is a book of contradictions written by a bunch of people who did not know each other and were not on the same page. When the clergy tells you it is not a book of contradictions they are either ignorant magazine salesmen or they are playing with your head to get thier 10%.

I also believe their are fundamentalist preachers who are also sincerely ignorant.
