  This is the kind of circumstance that some JW's love to
  speculate about - with regard to the UN and religion.

  Events like this drive people towards church, not away from it.
  Likewise politicians (Bush) quote the Bible and tearful priests
  give last rights to victims in the streets.

  Turn against religion? Forget it! The UN has little or no power
  by itself anyway.

  After all, it is a very recognizable building in NYC.
  The terrorists didn't steer an airplane into it because
  they know where the real authority is - Wall Street and
  the financial people.

  I was watching on the news last nite.
  That there was a Catholic church very close to the WTC that didn't even get a scratch on it when the WTC came crashing down.

  I wonder what the JW's think about that?

  If someone lived a trillion X longer than you, and had a billion X more reasoning ability would he come to the same conclusions as you?

  I have a lot to say about JW's belief that the UN is the beast that Was, Is not , Yet is.

  There is no way they can prove that the scarlet colored beast of Revelation 17 is different from the beast of Revelation chapter 13.

  (Revelation 13:3) And I saw one of its heads as though slaughtered to death, but its death-stroke got healed, and ALL THE EARTH FOLLOWED THE WILD BEAST WITH ADMIRATION.

  Revelation 17:8) The wild beast that you saw was, but is not, and yet is about to ascend out of the abyss, and it is to go off into destruction. And when they see how the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present, THOSE WHO DWELL ON THE EARTH WILL WONDER ADMIRINGLY , but their names have not been written upon the scroll of life from the founding of the world.

  Then they manipulate the scripture at Revelation 17:11

  The greek says the wild beast that was but is not it is itself an eighth king but IS ONE OF THE SEVEN.

  Franz switches this to make it fit the UN by saying the eighth king SPRINGS FROM the seven. This is to make it look like some kind of federation like the UN. This is playing fast and loose with the translation, it is infact interpretation not translation.
