Why the -2 shown for my In Box?

On this new version of JWN my inbox notification icon has the little mailbox emblem and next to it a -2. What is that all about?

It's it's just the unread message count getting out of sync during the import process.

I've got 4 notifications on my inbox and, since I've read all messages, have assumed it's a 'teething' issue. Otherwise, loving this new site and credit Simon with the new clear layout and features. I'm missing the smiley faces though. :)
