Since the promises of many of us have been found to be lacking in truth, what do you look forward to in the distant future?

I know we need to live for the day and enjoy our families and the little things, but do you have hope for a future where true justice will ever prevail?

I look forward to living a life of freedom, making my own choices, reading, learning, helping others, growing old. Yes, growing old. I never thought I would - I wasn't good enough so I would die in Armageddon. That burden has been lifted off my shoulders.

Do I think true justice will ever prevail? No, but life can still be good.

I feel the same way as Penny does. I have no idea what is going to happen as far as the world scene is concerned, but I do know, that I must try to make each and every day count. Make it good, make sure my kids are getting the best out of their childhood, and are happy.

Make sure my marriage is the best as it can be, so my home is a haven for my family. I look forward to my boys growing older and going to university, getting a decent job, getting married, having more grandchildren, perhaps.

Watching my 17 month old grandson growing, is a real joy. I look forward to the times when I can take him to the zoo, and watch his excitement as he sees all the exotic animals for the first time.

My retirement and social security check. Vacations somewhere special, I hope someday I can do that. My two grandkids moving out to their own place.

Sorry... call me a dreamer, but I can't wait for the day when any one of my family members escapes too!

I look forward to the day when I wake up and can say with certainty that all of the hidden switches and programs that the watchliar sociopath society had implanted in my being, are gone for good. The day I can say "good luck", "happy birthday", "merry christmas", and "I love you" without feeling like a sinner.

I don't look forword to much of anything.I look forward to the weekend and having time to myself. I look to collect social security in 10 years and stop working and then I will be waiting to die. Its not very exciting but it wasnt exiting for me being a witness either. I do try to enjoy myself everyday. But most days thats not very exciting either. Like peggy Lee sang "is that all their is?" You ask a good question I hope someone gives a good answer.

Truth is an illusion swayed this way and that by individual or group beliefs, cultures and prejudices. Unless you want everyone to be robots, there will not be many 'truths' that we all agree on. Likewise with justice...

My hope, however, is that my family will be healthy, content and prosperous, and that we will all die in our sleep having lived healthy, contented, LONG and prosperous lives. That hope is actually quite comforting to me. Perhaps, since leaving 'neverland' my expectations have become more grounded. Each day is a gift and I can't say that I long for the past much. I have learned to treasure each time my kids do something silly and giggle, each time I manage to cook dinner without burning something, each morning that I am able to get to the bathroom under my own power ()... life is good...

"what do you look forward to in the distant future?"

I try not to stake my happiness on some distant future event; the JWs cured me of that. I just try to be ready for each day as it happens. Good day or bad, it's still better to be alive than dead.
