So loving are Jehovah's peoples, NOT! It hurts worse I know when it comes from family the first people you would expect to show you love. I wish I could say something to help the hurt and I wish that time would heal but in this arena of spiritual warfare they just make themselves look mean and hateful.

I got to where I made sure I had something else fun planned to do on these occasions and that really helped me take my mind off the rejection I got from my JW family. It also served to take the jab out of their spiritual sword and they hated that I had a life outside of the JW's.

I am so sorry to hear that. Completely and totally illogical for them to not include you. Crazy religion.

Ok, so I'm no longer a black sheep.

I don't know if I was included because they really need my help or if they actually felt bad that they excluded me. I was asked for assistance with the Wedding and will be included in on the next family meeting.

I know how you feel because when Ericka got married she invited everyone in the family except me. And you know how large my family is!

I heard that, compared to the amount of JWs at this mega-wedding of the special elite, my family (all never-been JWs) was sitting at a little table in the back for the riff-raff. They felt very uncomfortable and were not impressed when the JWs came up to talk to them acting overly friendly (read: insincere) to give them a "good witness."

She even invited my daughters. What a snake! They didn't go but said instead that when they get married they'll leave her off their lists. What did she think? My daughters are LOYAL to their MOM!

    Blue,

My little sister had an anniversary party for herself (and husband) this past summer and their was a huge divide between the overly-self-righteous dubs and non-witness family.

My brother's wedding will be mostly witnesses as well. I'll be sure to get liquored up before I walk into the reception. Knowing my brother they'll be no alcohol.

Great. This will be like the Seinfeld episode when Elaine got drunk at the reception; did her crazy dance moves, and started shouting: "Stellaaaaaa!"

LOL Arthur . . . I loved that show. I'm only planning to have a little alcohol to get me through the evening. I figure a few shots of courage will help me be more assertive when I get all the "We miss you" Jah misses you". When are you coming back to Jah?" comments.
