Putting together a point of debate for someone in the family and I really need some help with this one...
What does the WTS say about the status of an Annointed person? Once they are "chosen", can they fall from their secure position?
If anyone has anything in print about this, please include that too.
Thank You... Thank You... Thank You!

Hi Gordon,
There is quite a bit of information here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faithful_and_Discreet_Slave
I don't know if that is specifically what you are looking for. As for whether they can fall or not, there seem to be conflicting opinions here. Myself and my boyfriend both remember being told that if an anointed one fell from grace, there was no way back for them, based on this scripture from Hebrews 10:
26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," [d] and again, "The Lord will judge his people." [e] 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Some however say that "once anointed, always anointed", even if the anointed one leaves the wts. Personally, I don't believe in the concept of an elite 144000 anyway, but I hope this helps you.
