I was looking through the paper this afternoon and saw that 1,500 people from 20 congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in MN and WI were gathering at the convention center today. The paper mentioned the program would feature talks, dramatizations, and discussions on how to improve family life, cope with stress and face challenges to one's faith. The main speaker was John Kikot, a longtime minister who helps supervise 1 million Witnesses in the USA. Free admission and no collection taken.

Too bad an invite to this event hadn't been included with the little tract that was left at my house a couple of weeks ago. I was just thinking about how I could cope with challenges to my faith and I haven't seen a good dramatization recently. Oh well, maybe next time.

Just them mentioning exactly where all the contribution boxes are placed, and how much they've got so far, and how much they need to cover the cost of the wonderful spiritual banquet we're receiving, and how much they and jehovah appreciate our generosity - and mentioning it several times a day, each day of the convention!LOL!

The newspaper didn't mention a second day. Maybe I should head downtown and see if anybody is enjoying the bars and eateries tonight. I really should go to the nudie bar also when I'm down there to make sure that nobody was tempted. Alright, I confess. If I did go to the nudie bar it wouldn't be to see if any dubs are in there. I did notice that the parking lot at the convention center was kind of empty. The free lot next to the playground was packed full though. Lot of people with their kids go there on the weekend but I'm sure that they will understand that witnesses can't afford to pay $3 to park when they attend conventions. The $3 would be better off in the contribution box.

Gee Shelly, give me a heads up next time. I do have the last week of December off. Don't know which direction I'll be heading.

    Whooooweeeee.

75 publishers per congregation attending the convention has gotta mean Jehovah sure is blessing the WORLDWIDE WORK with increases that have never been seen before.... uh, wait a minute.... It's Armageddon time cuz the love of the greater number is cooling off.

It was the 'special assembly day'. My family was at that one on Saturday.
