This is my first time posting. I read many of the comments provided by forum users and immediately started to experience once more the pain and hurt that I, my wife, and others feel who have been labeled and made to feel unworthy by, the organization. The way I cope in my life is to believe in God's own Words, not man's. All so-called religion in our day for the most part has become ineffective at resolving the inner conflict which dwells deep within the human concience. The organization however did teach me one good very thing over the last 40 years and that thing was to study God's own Word daily. Continuing to study God's Word will solve your inner conflict. Just because we leave the orgainization does not mean that we can break our connection with Jehovah God, his Son Christ Jesus, or HIs Holy Spirit. Our Father and his Son are able to read our hearts, so no matter what label some men may try to place on us or our faith, our hearts belong to God. My chioce is not to disown my connection to Our Father, on the contrary, my choice is to embrass it. My choice is to prove my God true, even though, as the scripture says "every man be found a liar". Do not let blind guides steal your joy! Love the Father, Love the Son, Love your neighbor, continue to pray to Our Father by means of HIs Son's precious blood because the time for all mankind to be avenged is soon than.

    Welcome, Elihu.

Thank you for your concern and good will.

Continuing to study God's Word will solve your inner conflict.

If you are referring to study of the Bible, it may be more common -- because of the contradictory and confusing nature of the Bible -- to become more perplexed and conflicted. That said, if it works for you, it works for you.

Personally, much of my inner conflict was alleviated when I stopped reading the damn thing and stopped reducing the Divine to anthropomorphic tribal deities that required my appeasing.

    Welcome E/E,

I am glad that you have started to figure out how to find peace and answers in your life. They more people who do this -by being comforted and finding true peace by the bible, Buddha, atheism, what have you, the better we will all treat each other and get along.

Welcome to JWD! I agree reading God's word daily has remarkable affects. I enjoy the Kitab'Iqan for its poetic exegitics clearly setting straight the meanings of "resurrection", "return" and other issues that have divided Christians and others for centuries.

Welcome to the forum, E/E. I hope your hurt feelings don't prevent you from reading and participating further. This is a discussion board, not a cheerleading section for a particular point of view. If you want to talk and possibly learn something new, stick around. If you want to mingle exclusively with others of your belief, you need a different board.
