Rain and flooding

  Mulan

  We are having a record rainfall and floods like we haven't had in about 15 years, thanks to the Pineapple Express (storm systems from Hawaii).

  Here are a couple of photos to show you what is happening nearby. We are on high ground so pretty safe, although I drove through a really deep "lake" today, but made it out on the other side all right. Staying home now.

  This is near Fall City, East of Seattle about an hour.

  Wow Mulan, I'd rather be here in the UK, where it's been quite pleasant today, but cold now. We tend not to get the extremes of weather where we live.

  The pictures of the falls are staggering! Did the tractor get "washed away" to where it sits now?

  YOU CROSSED A LAKE!!!!!! (That's the mother voice coming out in me) :-) Glad you were able to "swim" home to safety! You must be feeling pretty soggy right now.Poor baby. Stay safe and thanks for the first hand report!

  Did you take all those shots yourself Mulan? Or did someone mail the first one to you? (IOW, why would anyone choose to go traveling in such weather??! )

  That's an incredible shot of Snoqualmie Falls!!!!

  We live further south of you. It's been interesting to watch the rivers rise around here, but they were nothing like the rivers up north (and east in the mountains). Hope this winter doesn't wash the Pacific Northwest off the map!

  Mulan..We`ve got drought here,have had for summer and fall..It`s flooding on the coast though...OUTLAW
