    hey guys,

i have a question for any writiers in the house. i was just curious if anyone here knows of a good writer's workshop website (you know, those sites where you can post stuff and get feedback...that sort of thing.). i've looked around a bit online but haven't found too much. well, at least not free ones. there were quite a number of pay sites if i recall, but i have a hard time separating the wheat from...the...uh...you know what i mean. i don't mind membership fees if the site is worthwhile.

anyway, just thought i'd ask. thanks.

writing.com seems alright (pretty good traffic), but, man, that interface. maybe it's just me, but i have the hardest time getting around on that site. i just think they should've spent a couple more bucks on their webpage design, you know? it seems like there are a lot of kids on there, too. not that i don't like kids...for, like, mowing my lawn and beating me at madden...but the stuff i write isn't really suited for them, you know? dang it...that's two 'you knows'. see why i need feedback???

There are a lot of great reviewers at writing.com (wdc) and some horrible ones. The good thing is that you can restrict who can view your work to registered viewers or higher and that keeps out most of the pranksters. Navigating the site is difficult at first so it's hard to direct outside people to see your work there.

I've had an account at wdc for two years now and I love it. It won't get you published, but it will help you get enough feedback to improve your writing - or at least it did with me.
