I was reading over The Way to Paradise that some fellow had linked, and I was reading a part where the JW's believed that the great pyrimid of Gizeh was the "bible written in stone". In the book they quote Isaiah 19:19, Do they still somewhat believe that? or is that all done and over with?

    Cheers

All the pyramid stuff is 'old light' along with other wacky beliefs like when they thought they knew the star Jehovah lived on, and that aluminium caused cancer.

No, W. E. Van Amburgh, who wrote The Way to Paradise, held fast to the older Russellite belief about the pyramid, and he even had a series of articles on the pyramid called "A Bible For the Scientist" in the Golden Age. You can order this here:

However, Rutherford "refuted" Van Amburgh's articles in the Watchtower shortly afterward, calling the pyramid the "Devil's Bible". Undoubtedly, this must have been a great embarassment for Mr. Van Amburgh.

Very few witnesses nowadays have any idea of their wacky beginnings!

If they knew, I think they'd be mortified!
