A young man came in today so he could get his brother in laws car ready to go to mississippi for t-giving. He is here on 2 weeks leave from Afghanistan. He told me one of the things the terrorists are doing is stuffing wounded persons with explosives and then when they are in the ambulance or hospital they are detonated by remote and blown up. I have never heard or seen this on the news. Has any one else?

He also stated that the news we see is very watered down as to what is really going on there. He told me a lot of stories but I don't think it would be in good taste to post it on a public forum.

Wow...that is terrible. I know that we "get to" see whatever the government wats us to. I wonder if we knew all that went on if we would be wanting to call off the war....I just can't believe people are going through those things.It is real sad.

I've long held the opinion that the media only tells us what has been approved by the government. As for the tactic of stuffing explosives into the wounded, it doesn't surprise me.

This applies to just about every single government on earth. I actually watched something on PBS last night that touched on this very subject.

This pressure by government to at very least emphasize the stories they want emphasized and water down those they want watered down, is not strictly a U.S. institution.

If you want news don't watch TV. For example since the war has been going on in the Congo more than 4 million people have died yet when I watch CNN I hear about 6 people who were killed in Israel. Give me a break, 6 people were killed down the street from me, why is it international news when it happens in Israel or Irag? And where atre all the stories about the Congo? There are other agendas in the mainstream media. For real news go online, find good news sites and check them regularly.

It was on the news, when they mentioned that often the terrorist will kidnap people and then leave their bodies in the street with bombs inside them and detonate the bombs by remote control when people come to pick them up. I saw a lot about this on the news this last summer, along the lines of what you mentioned. What a great bunch of people?
