Good time in Kentucky

Well I decided to go to Kentucky for Thanksgiving at the last minute. I had a friend that was supposed to come down this way to visit, but had to cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency. I went and stayed with my relatives (non JW) and ate so much. My cousins are the best cooks in the world. They had a spread like you cant believe. After Thanksgiving dinner we drove over to Martin County to the strip mines and saw a herd of elk, there must have been 30-40 elk in that herd. We then drove over to the mountaintop golf course that sits on a former strip mine. We all had a great time, and enjoyed each others company this past weekend. To top off the weekend I attended church with them at the Freewill Baptist, I havent been to church there in months. I really love my family there, and they mean the world to me. Darin and Mom didnt get to come, as they had to stay in Ohio with grandpa. I had a new experience, for the first time ever I tried some paw paw fruit. This fruit tastes like a banna, but looks sorta like a greenish/purple potato. It is native to Appalachia and few people have even heard of them let alone eaten them. Now for some really good news. I learned that 2 of my JW cousins are no longer attending meetings. I dont know the full story yet, but I believe they are finally through with the WT Society. Next time I go up there I will talk with them and found out the real story, as I was told this by another family member. One of my cousins is the very last person to hold a study with me before I finally decided to ditch the JW religion. It's is o surprising to me as he always seemed to be elder-like. I hope this is true, because I would love to have some indepth conversations with him about the JW religion. Im keeping my fingers crossed but I believe he has finally saw through their lies. An excellent weekent, one that I will always cherish.

I am sure it will be nice to have family members who were in, but left. The support to eachother will be such a gift.

    BTW, your thanxgiving sounded great.
