I have read that before 1990-91 Witnesses would pay for literature at the Kingdom Hall , collect donations , and keep whatever they got in exchange. Is that true ? I came in much later and it was never talked about now that I can remember. I did hear though that it was changed because some preacher in California sold some tapes on TV and that shit went all the way to the Supreme Court because of state tax. Guess what ? one month later after the verdict for the State an announcement at every Kingdom Hall in the U.S. Question = Who knows what was said and was anything said about TAX ?
