.......nothing happened! That's right, nothing happened (except for me getting a bunch of charming cards and a nice gift).
I did not become a prostitute, drug user, Smurf owner, Led Zepplin fan, or even a wind chime lover.
I did not come down with a case of Satanic hydrophobia.
So far I have not noticed any demon activity eminating from my gift, although I have quarantined it until the 25th just to be sure.
That is all. Talk amongst yourselves.

We've received about 8 - 10 Christmas cards this year... and about 6 to 8 of them are from ex-JWs. The others are from family (the wifes' - I ain't got no family - to speak of).
My wife wants us to put them up - on a christmassy wire that we will string across the living room, so that we can see them all.

Truly spoken, Reb. They play ex-JW's up to be the worst of the worst, but it hasn't been my experience either.

Rebel8, I happen to like people who are Smurf owners, Led Zepplin fans, or even wind chime lovers.
I don't know any prostitutes, but I do know some drug users. They just need help, not criticizm.
Rebel8---I received your VERY BEAUTIFUL Christmas card and due to the lack of time---I'll be writing to you at a future time concerning this card. Needless to say, it carried a lot of meaning for me. (Just one of those "things" that happen when you can have NO possible idea how something wil affect someone else at times!)
I am so sorry that I am not able to include a personal message when I make out cards.....I have tremendous difficulty writing with my right hand (don't do very well with my left hand either, haha!) and its all I can do to sign the thing and write out the address! I really wish I could say what nice things I think about you all.....on paper.
My hubby was SO surprised at ALL the cards we got---from people he didn't recognize! I put the cards in a pretty basket I bought at the dollar store and they look so bright and colorful! We sure got some absolutely GORGEOUS cards this year.....and one really funny one from TX with a present inside---I won't SAY from who, hahaha! (Talk about a dead give-away!) Thank you ALL who sent cards here....I SO appreciated and enjoyed them!
Not so great stuff here----part of the kitchen faucet snapped off (thank GOODNESS I wasn't the one using it when it happened :o) hubby was tightening the thing because it had been leaking....and you can guess the rest! So the (my very small) kitchen has been a REAL mess since yesterday, with all the stuff from under the cupboards pulled out onto the floor....and everything sopping wet (ugh)....so then we went to Lowe's and Ace for supplies.
When I got to Lowe's---I remembered I wanted to get a corkboard for behind my computer, to put up the pictures you wonderful folks sent to me in the Christmas cards....so I was pretty happy about THAT and momentarily forgot about the MESS facing us when we got back home.....
...hubby JUST got through putting things back together and went to take a nap! So.....here I be....with a sinkful of dishes and laundry to do, company coming for Christmas week....and I'm yakking on the computer......
I just saw Rebel8's thread and decided to see what it said.....and here I sit....but I thought this would be a good opportunity to pop in and say thanks to Rebel8 and to you all who sent cards...this IS the best group online!!!!
