  It has now been realised that the the inside leg measurements of several Kings of Israel had been left out of the count of years that traditionally resulted in 1914.

  With this new light we have a clear demonstation of the power of Biblical prophecy, as the count of years now ends in the fall of 2001, exactly when the 'King of the North' made himself apparent.

  Thus, we can again truly highlight Jesus' words 'This generation will by no means pass away...' as being applicable now! What joy, both for those that remained faithful to death, not running ahead of the Fetid Deodourant Salve but waiting on Jehovah, and for those who are alive now. A generation is a score of years or so, so it is unlikely we will still see this wicked system of things in operation in 2025!

  Indeed, Adam must have been a mature man in his fifties before Eve was created, and thus the year 2025 is especially apt, being 6,ooo years since the fall.

  This is a hoax. While the WTS constantly talks about New Light--as a concept--they RARELY espouse a doctrine and identify it as a change. It takes an astute reader or WT conductor to point out that an article is presenting a change in WT doctrine. Why, the phrase "it has now been realized" just smacks of admitting error!

  In the case of a change so striking as not to be ignored (1975), the blame is put on "some brothers," but never on the FDS. Thus if the excerpt from this obviously bogus article had read, "Some, in calculating the inside leg measurements of the Kings of Israel, left out a number of lesser rulers--resulting in a "going ahead of Jehovah's Celestial Chariot" by 85 years..." I could believe that the boyz in writing had concocted this. But to say, in effect, "we were wrong" just does not strike me as something we'd read in the WT.

  Plus, if you read the quote carefully, you'll notice:

  Notice the obvious grammatical error. We all know that reading the Watchtower for a year is roughly equivalent to a University degree, what do you think is the equivalent of writing the WT for years and years?
