Similarities between mutating viruses and The Watchtower Society

Recently, there have been many reports of certain viruses which genetically mutate and resist antibiotics.

I was thinking of the contrast between a virus that becomes antibiotic-resistant and Jehovah's Witnesses.

A virus is not conscious and has no intelligence (as far as we know!). No one knows for sure why viruses are able to mutate and resist drugs that

    were able to kill them.

This act of replication and mutation seems to find a contrast among Jehovah's Witnesses. How?

Consider the study books used over the years by the Society.

Your Word Is A Lamp To My Foot

    The Truth book

    The Liveforever Book

    The Knowledge Book

What Does The Bible Really Teach?

The dubs who study these publications at the book study, use these tools on unsuspecting members of the public to recruit them.

Although they know and understand the book, they do not know why there needs to be new releases every few years.

They don't understand the gravity of what they teach and how it can affect those that come into contact with it.

The Society seem to fine tune their study books every few years, make it more appealing, removing contradictions and the book is carefully

written in a way that causes cognitive dissonance.

Dubs in a way, are like a virus. Their sole motive in life is to recruit, recruit, recruit. The figurative genetic code that they carry are the ever

changing publications of the "faithful and discreet slave."

The best antibiotic I've seen is CofC for the JW virus.

    Greeting TS,

I was just a moment ago thumbing through FMJ, Nov/Dec 1997, p.3. In "Letters to the Editor" [reference to deprogramming]:

"'Deprogramming' yourself is a reverse process, one of cleaning up a lot of files in your mind that contain misinformation, either revising them or tossing out the files. It is also a process of re-examining hasty conclusions that were based on the so-called "truthful" information stored in these files... [concluding thoughts from 1) Major shift in perspective]: keep them [new converts] away from all contradictory evidence. (The assumption is that it is for their own good, as the 'sheep' cannot be trusted to sift the evidence correctly.)"

Now that I am removed from the mindless WT recruitment scenario, it is taking much time and effort to implement the above. Critical thinking is hard work; surely, though, it is worth the effort. I'm learning that, as one poster recently stated, the truth lies somewhere between the two extremes. I'm doing lots of sifting and a fair amount of tossing. So far so good.
