Recently certain words in our topics have been highlighted and underlined. Who is doing this? What is the reason for it? It becomes a link to the underlined and highlighted word. Is it an add, commercial, someone getting paid for this hit? Have you noticed it in your post topics? Curious as to what this is all about. Anyone know about this?

It's called in-text advertising. The idea is it's less intrusive to the look and feel of the website than banner ads or google footers etc. Or you could use both like on JWD
It will all help Simon pay for the hosting fees and stuff.
Some webmasters due this for extra revenue and this might be the case. Since I pay nothing to be here, and the webmaster provides this service anyway. I do not have a problem with it.
