I have pretty much vowed to avoid organized religion. I do believe in
the abilities of Mankind to make a difference, a little at a time.
While Secular Humanism seems much like an organized religion, I
don't really know if it is the same- without God. I took a belief
test that someone posted on JWD once. It said that my beliefs line
up with Unitarians or Secular Humanists. I dismissed the Unitarians,
but looked into S.H. a bit.
I seem to feel that they are looking to medicine and science for the
answers, but I expect that many fringe-members expect space ships
to show up one day and straighten Mankind out. Is this a loosely
organized cult? Do they have whacko beliefs that they slowly introduce?
Any knowledge would be appreciated.
