I am working with the 1999 WT CD and checking out what they actually have on the CD. A few times they give the different years that a book was published.

Most of us know the WT has edited their books to omit many of the changes they have made along the way. Heaven forbid someone catches on to their scheme and realizes that it is really about hiding their past.

For those of you who have the CDs which version of the book is on the CD. I'm assuming they have used the latest publication date. For example the book

All ScriptureIsInspiredofGodandBeneficialwas published in 1963, 1993, 1990. Is my assumption correct that the CD has the 1990 version? The CD gives all three dates.

Even when there is only one publication date is it possible that the CD version has been revised to reflect the belief at the time the CD was created?

Good grief! How would we know anything is what was originally published unless we have the original copies or the scanned images of each page?

I have seen some cases where the text on the CD has been changed from the printed version but not wholesale changes. There are to many printed books etc out there to compare them to for them to get away with much. There is still alot of info on even the current CD that condricts current beliefs.

    That's for sure.

Yep, like the belief that the Sodomites will not be resurrected. That's the current belief but Insight on the Scriptures says the opposite. justahuman - but super nonetheless

that one has been flip-flop several times. It's just amazing to see how old light becomes new light then old light and then new again

To all: I am such a boob! I was entrenched in the Borg when they first came out with the CD-ROM's. I thought it was a great idea, and trashed all of my library of hard bound books! What a moron in retrospect. I hope everyone was not as stupid as myself!!!! JK P.S.: An Orwellian quote "He that controls the past, controls the future."

JK, if you're a boob, then I'm a double-boob (does that make me a female? or, maybe, I'm just androgenous, as Russell said would happen with all humans in perfection at the end of the Millenium???)

At any rate, that the WTS let the copyrights drop on all pre-50's writings will come back to bite them in the butt harder than anything they've ever let slip on the "official" CD's.

    Hiya Lee!

All of the pre-50's stuff WT's and books) is available on Randy Watter's site, provided by Research Applications Institute (CD's, pdf)

Some other stuff (some 40s books, and some other things) are available elsewhere--I'd have to check the sources (CD's, pdf)

Some of the same material is available from Dawn Publications and the Chicago Bible Students. (CD's, searchable database)
