My JW nieghbors and their "demonic" born again landlady

Some of you may be aware of my ongoing saga on my street. My hubby and I own our home which is on a street where one of our ex elders and his family lives. Actually they are almost directly across the street. Since leaving the tower, we have had to deal with this elder's wife (elderess) who has been making rude faces at my kids and comments to them while they are playing on the street.Last summer this family started rudely dring fast past my home and kids as if they could be contaminated or something and drove so fast that many of the neighbors complained about it. this is a dead end street filled with young kids who play outside.

Anyway, this family had been renting their home for more than 10 years which is longer than I have been on this street. Ironically their landlady was a born again Christian - and we know how JW's feel about them right? Well this elder has always had money trouble (too lazy to work a full day) and was known in the congregation as a dead beat always behind in his rent. The landlady (not her hubby) out of her good Christian heart let the family stay even though they always were a month or two behind in rent. The elder's wife instead of being grateful would talk about this ladies religious beliefs and call her "demonic" and "deranged" behind her back to everyone in the KH. When we left the tower I almost wrote this lady a letter to let her know how her tenants really felt about her and her beliefs. Then I decided not to as I don't want to be that type of person (vindictive) even though this family would have totally deserved it, so I just let it go.

I decided to just totally ignore these nutty people and told the kids to do the same. They continued on their driving fast past the house and making faces and some of the nieghbors wanted to know what was going on which enabled me to give a real "witness" about the WT and the shunning policy. And my hubby and I instead of getting upset started to really laugh at the ridiculousness of the whole thing.

Recently ( about a month ago) the born again landlady dies and my hubby and I are wondering what will happen to this family as we know it was only the landlady not her husband who forgave the late rent each month. No doubt this family prayed to Jehovah to be allowed to stay in their home which btw was kept at rental prices from 10 years ago, well below market value. We did not have to wonder for long, we stood and watched the family move out this past weekend! We had a grand time waving goodbye as they drove off our street for the last time. I have to admit, I've been walking on clouds ever since. Wonder if they found another deranged, demonic born again with a cheap home to rent?

Wow...Jehovah always delivers doesnt he? Im sure He has another "arrangement" for this wonderful family...to send them to somewhere where the "need is greater" where their excellent driving skills can be better used to serve remote locations where the sheep are waiting for Jehovahs servants to come and deliver them from.....

Ok...I have to go throw up now....

    Hi everyone,

The reason I posted this is to show what complete pompous jerks some JW's could be. They really owed a lot of gratitude to their former landlady because she kept the rent low and was very understanding about them being behind in rent. And YET they badly mistreated her by calling her names behind her back. If anyone showed they were a "true" Christian it was the born again landlady and certainly not the witnesses.

On top of that they had a smug attitude while mocking my family by thinking they are better than us. you could see in their eyes how much they wanted us dead or at least off the street totally. Its funny becuase another elder actually asked my hubby if we were going to move because he heard my sister was moving in with us. So you can almost hear what they must have been saying. For instance that they prayed to Jehovah to have us leave so they don't have to see our disgusting faces any more. Who knows, maybe they will now say that Jehovah organized it so that they could move off the street and be free of us. Personally I hope they have two or three apostate nieghbors now.

Either way, their lives will be more difficult as the rents around here are very high. I'm glad I stayed cool with them but if they suffer a little more by moving then they got exactly what they deserved in the end. Divine justice? Probably not. But that girl name Karma - she really is a Witch (with a "B"). Lilly

I'm happy for you. I'm also glad that you took the high road and did not stoop to their level. I'm sure your neighbors realize who the true christians are.
