    I was looking for some specific information last night when I was researching a topic for discussion with a friend, and thought I would share it with you.

    It has some very interesting articles and thoughts about Jesus and spirituality.

    Additionally it has a links section that has a link for Sacred Space. Which itself is very unique.

    Enjoy.

    Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it for later reading. I did read the opening page and it was very interesting. Also on another page there was a statement made that I totally agree with. As a matter of fact, last weekend during a church gathering I made a very similiar point as did the author of the above website. Here is what he says;

    The intellect can entertain the concept of God, but not grasp God

    This is so true because no matter how much Bible reading we do, although we believe in God's existance, we do not really know "what" God is. We can only define him in a limited way by using our own human vernacular. I agree with the author of the website too that we humans tend to try to box God into our religious books, churches, and within the confines of our own biased belief systems but no one has a corner on God. And no one book can contain all the knowlege of him either. Also, I believe like the website author that there was much wrtten by the Bible Writers while they were trying to better grasp the concept of God for themselves. At least that is the sense I always got with reading the bible. Fully grasping God is something we humans have always struggled with. I guess you can say there is a little bit of a Christian Mystic in me? Lilly

    Lil, I think you really just outlined what I have been searching for and through (make sense?) for so long.

    The easiest way for me to grasp God, is through nature. Is through the turning of the seasons, through the wind and rain. But that's me. However, I just had an experience the other day that has given me a reason to search harder and further. Something I can almost touch, but am missing.

    We try to box God up and the reality is, we can't. I wonder much lately about the existance of God. Everything in my intellect tells me to give up the search, but something else forces me to continue looking.

    Thanks for sharing in my search Lil

    Swan,

    I'm glad I could help in some small way. I also struggle every day with matters of faith and belief, even though I have been a Christian believer and bible reader for more than 25 years total! I believe our personal spirituality is a continual work in progress and it is a unique experience for every human in the universe. No one can dictate to us how we should walk on our path to spiritual truth.

    For some the Bible is needed every day and church association every week. For others just believing there is a higher power in the universe is enough for them. I am personally somewhere in between these two. And sometimes I too find "God" in nature and appreciating the beauty of it is the only "act of worship" I need some days. Peace be with you, Lilly

    Me too!! And what you say about progress is so true - for me at least, life is a journey, not the destination. Any Christian who thinks they've 'arrived' maybe needs to think again (or check they still have a pulse lol!)
