My sister worked on this one, they were hoping to be asked to be caretakers but alas it was not ment to be. I know there were a lot of money issues but don't know what the final count was on it. I believe after this one was built they went to a more standard/cookie cutter type of building for the assembly halls like they do with the kingdom halls for that reason.

Yup... I remember helping on that one.
I wasn't up for doing anything major, so I just hung out and avoided work as much as possible.
The money problems were very real. I remember the speakers at the KH constantly begging for money.... for years.

I remember taking the wife to visit this one during the building phase when I was connected to the hive. And yes, during that time, the constant begging for money was horrendous.

I don't remember the music sounding like that at any of our assemblies. Since when do the JWs use choirs? It makes it sound like the nice music in one of "Christendom's" places of worship.
