For those that don't know, I'd DF'd and trying to lay low so I can be reinstated then fade...............

I was talking with my wife and things (well, I) got heated. We were talking about the whole DF thing and my point is that what JW's do is NOT bible-based. Anyway she was saying that she trusts that this is Jah's organization and the holy spirit is responsible for the elders actions and yadda-yadda-yadda. Well, after mentioning a number of things that would indicate how it was done in the bible and how it's done now she said, "well, I have complete faith in the organization." I jumped back with "ah-hah! You and the others in the congregation have faith in the organization but I have faith in God. That's the difference between us, I have faith in god.........." then I finally shut my pie hole. She was silent for a few seconds and I tried to change the subject. I think I done did it with that one.

Is there any saving my butt from being DA'd now?

I think I said on a previous thread that I would not be able to achieve your
goal of reinstatement just to fade afterward, if the DF happened to me.

It does seem that a successful reinstatement would include total
abstinence from attacking the WTS and it's beliefs. It would include
accepting your DF as proper. You have to wait a VERY long time to start
    chipping away at the doctrines.

The good news- they rarely go to the wife and family to consider reinstatement.
They observe you, themselves. Whatever you said to your wife will not likely
reach their ears- if you stop now. She might bring it to their attention, crying
that she doesn't know what to do. Tell your wife that part of being DF'ed is this-
others refrain from discussing spiritual matters with you. Say that until you are
reinstated, you will not discuss doctrine or Biblical principle. Say that you are
studying and praying and repairing your relationship with God- these can all be
true. This prevents you from the difficult position of having to hold your tongue
during a debate- avoid the debate altogether.

Maybe you could say, "What I mean is, the whole reason JWs become JWs and such is because they believe in God first of all, right? We're witnesses because we think that it's because God is behind the organization, not because we simply happen to prefer them. But the WTS even admits on its own that it makes mistakes, right? So I can say that I have faith in the organization, but not to the same extent as believing in God, because God never makes mistakes at all. The WTS is not the same as God, and even they admit that."

    Hope that helps...
