OK, so they reamed the idiot Bethelite who dared to suggest that the preaching work was fufilled - but does that

end the matter? Suppose you're a Witness in a western nation in which all the Witness kids are leaving? Suppose

your nation's publishers are decreasing ( see Europe)? Could there be a quiet drift of belief that this is true?

Or could publishers say "well, why bother, the preaching work is pretty much done here"?

Is this an emerging suspicion that the GB will now have to fight?

I wonder.... especially since this emerged from Bethel itself. It may reflect a subversive opinion at the top.

The Watchtower 1995 September 1 p. 17 par. 17 Christian Witnesses for Divine Sovereignty17 Still, that first-century preaching work was merely a foretaste of what would be accomplished during the last days. Looking forward especially to our time, Jesus said: "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14; Mark 13:10) Has this prophecy been fulfilled? Indeed, it has.

If people aren't "preaching" it's because they realize what a waste of time and energy it really is. If kids are leaving it isn't because of what they here

at meeting, assemblies, etc.. it is IN SPITE of it. I know for a fact that the preaching work a la WTS is done: I ain't a goin' no moe'.

It certainly won't make it any easier doe them to get the dubs out in service, and they are having a hard time doing that these days as it is. Even if it's only an unsubstantiated rumour, it could well have a knock - on effect.

Did I miss something? Or are you going off of that one email which suggests that someone called bethel's "legal dept" and asked if it was true? I haven't seen(or heard) anything yet regarding a reaming...although if it was his ownoff the cuff remarks, he will most likely get one.

It could be the answer the WBTS has been looking for..You don`t need to preach anymore..Please!! Just show up to a meeting!..You`ll be counted as an honourable Jehovah`s Witness...OUTLAW
