Anyone watching the tennis down under? It looks so nice down there, being summer and all. It is snowy and freezing where I live.I love watching tennis. Used to love to play, but can't anymore due to physical limitations. One reason that tennis attracts me is because it is an international sport.

Any Aussies watching? I would like to see Kim Clysters win before she retires after this slam. Anyone else have a favorite?

Yeah, I watched the men's elimination this morning. I like watching tennis too . . used to play until I hurt my back. Did you see all the people watching the screen outside the stadium ? And they repeatedly showed closeups of Conners . . .I always liked him too.

Hell yeah!! She's my big favorite too (see my avatar right now), I post on her board all the time....it's fun to chat with other Clijsters fans while the match is going on...I just wish I knew Flemish better!

I got to meet her last year during the WTA Tour....got some really, really great photos too! She's such a sweet person. I really hope she gets another Grand Slam title this year (or more!) before she retires; she's doing well so far this year, tho her gameplay still has too many unforced errors at the wrong times. Most of all, I hope she stays injury-free from now on (remember last year's Aussie Open).

I'm really, really nervous about the Clijsters-Hingis QF today. It'll probably run to three sets and Kim will really be challenged for the first time this tournament. Hingis is playing very well (despite having lost a set in the last round) and Kim has been having a problem keeping her focus, tho I am sure that when put to the test, she will deliver....she is very skilled at fighting for the points, one by one. There have been some pretty spectacular rallies in previous meetings between Martina and Kim, so this will be the match to watch!
