A new driver that just started working here walked past my desk and said, "The truth will set you free." It gave me shivers down my back. I know that phrase is in the Bible and not just a phrase for JWs but still -- They are the only ones I ever heard using it.
It just mades me uncomfortable hearing anything called "the truth".
They really did abuse that phrase when they applied it to their teachings. It wasn't the truth and it put you in chains. I also cringe when I hear catch phrases or words that remind me of the Watchtower
The truth will set you free."
Thus proving that the JW's do not have the truth because being a JW is hardly being free.
LOL, any idea why he just up and said that out of the blue?

Yeah it was a funny thing to say wasn't it. Watchtowerisms make me cringe too.
Either he's been reading the gospels or David Icke's book which I think has that title (the ex brit tv presenter turned loon and conspiracy theorist)
