I watched the Stephen Lett video @ jw.org

The first minutes he shows himself as a nice chap. Uncle Stephen knows what's best for you.

And then I see the extreme fundamentalist he is, talking short about apostates. Angry eyes!!

He is using a indoctrination technique: first he say some things about apostates that are common knowledge for the average JW: apostate allert! And then he is telling something new without any foundation: the story's about child abuse in the organization are lies from apostates.

If it's something like a weather talk, he is changing subject directly after that.

It's dropped between the ears of the listener, if he is awake, is thinking "I heard something strange, but can't figure out what exactly". The inner brain keeps going on to find out, in a circle. Pure indoctrination!

It is unbelievable that a religion's leader makes a remark like this, without any explanation.

He makes these accusations without any evidence whatsoever. The funny thing is that apostates have been making an issue of how they have been dealing with pedo's for years and it isn't until now, when there are more high profile court cases, that they try to make apostates out as liars.

Gorbachov, I noticed that flare of angry eyes too! It was only a split- second, but I saw it too. And I noticed also the strangeness of the disconnection which followed. Most unsettling.

I so hope my husband and I can watch the series on netflix he so enjoys, " Lie to me" a few more times ( all about reading expressions and body language) and then we can make a game of watching news show etc and applying that. Then one day Watch the JW Lett broadcast....... or the Nightline broadcast...hmmm wishful thinking I suppose.
