One of the things Ad Blockers fail to do is block the in-page Flash ads. You know, the really annoying ones that move around the screen, play videos and even audio.

I can't stand to have some figure moving around in an ad while I'm trying to read an article... the motion in the corner of my eye is extremely distracting and annoying.

After much searching I have finally found a simple and free solution that removes these annoying ads forever!

The solution ended up being very simple and I'm shocked I didn't think of it myself. Just edit your "hosts" file to point the offending URLs to 127.0.0.1 (your local computer).

You can find instructions and a sample here: http://everythingisnt.com/hosts.html

I just added these two cluprits to the list of blocked hosts:

    127.0.0.1 a.tribalfusion.com
    127.0.0.1 cdn5.tribalfusion.com

Thanks that will be useful especially when sound from the ads mingles with music you are listening to from the PC. Not good for the marketers but they intrude. They send tens of millions of ads around the world (using even botnets, it doesn't cost them much) and even if they get 1000 customers they will be glad.

Elsewhere, I can guess that you're ready to make the jump to Firefox. You see, Firefox knows your pain. The extension Adblock Plus destroys all ads, flash included. If you're stuck in IE 7 or IE 6, you'll have to go out of your way to block things...
