Is it Rene Pagan? With a Hispanic wife? If so, he didn't come across as very educated and was a rather poor speaker. He made some preposterous remarks, even by JW standards. (Wish I could remember the exact remarks, but something along the lines of accepting direction from the FDS as if it came from Jehovah in matters of dress, grooming, childrearing, education, entertainment choices)

My understanding is that he became a CO after retiring from his job and getting a pension. He was here in the Dallas area up until last year, as far as I know.

The memorable thing he does in prayers is asking for Jehovah's blessings on his wife and a long list of others, including single parents (which was me). I thought that was nice.

    Serendipity,

That describes about 95% of all COs and DOs. It is good that he prayed for a host or people. That is not common among the JWs anymore.
