An elder in my Hall swears that N Korea is the new King of the North and there would NEVER be an agreement. Oh well, another prophecy blown. Dumb asses.

I'll believe North Korea has disarmed when the destruction of the facilities are visually confirmed by UN inspectors and when the US Navy can confirm that no more nuclear related isotopes are detected in the ocean around North Korea.

Well the Dubs can always fall back on their "Peace and Security" card.

Which is it, Destruction of the Planet is upon us or "Peace and Security" that will cause Armageddon? I keep getting confused on this point.

I can't claim to keep up, but hasn't North Korea said "ok" a few times already? And then they (or rather, he) always go back to their Jr. Mad Scientist & Despot Kit to cook up a new nuke.

This was quite obviously always their objective. Early on in the affair they floated the idea that they may step down their nuclear ambitions if they were rewarded for doing so, as was Libya.

Libya admitted given aid to North Korea in the past regarding their nuclear facilities and Libya itself was far more advanced in the development of a nuclear bomb than was realized by the West.

This scenario will be played out by many poorer countries with an eye on the billions handed out by the West to dissuade nuclear advancement.

Pretty much sums up how I feel as well.

I think Kim's playing everyone for a fool. I wouldn't trust him to go through with it unless it can be confirmed that he is really freezing the program.
