This video is really good. I'd recommend just putting it on in the background while you work. Steven Alan Hassan is the world's most experience expert on cults and mind control

I'm listening now. He's talking about his Moonie experience....many parallels to the WTS/JW experience. Very good.

He starts talking about JWs at 31:37, briefly

    Also 1:04:20.

Everything he talks about applies to JWs whether it is directly mentioned or not. The suggestions and his insights apply to all cults, including JWs.

Good work Hassan more than anyone else knows how to unweave the fabric of deception that the cults are so adept at weaving.

Steve just put that up, it's a good video! Tell others about it. I highly recommend his book, "Combatting Cult Mind Control" to those who want to learn how to talk to people in cults- it is one of the most important books you can get.

His book, "Releasing the Bonds" (also at above link) is for those who HAVE BEEN IN a cult and want to be freed of all the land mines in your head left over.

And if you really want to get this stuff down and help others, we now have an entire class with Steve (and myself) on DVDs for the first time:

Anyone on JWD gets 15% off in our store in February! Just mention it in the comments section at checkout.

I just finished listening to the whole tape; it's excellent. It shows that love and patience and using his suggestions can break through the mental barriers gently. I have both those books and the points fit every cult-like group.

I liked the point of using ex-members of other cults to talk to cult members from other groups to see the flaws of their own group.

    Thought stopping

    10 erroneous beliefs

    Having a family website

I'm going to check into these points.
