First I refused to use my 2007 SUV. I said that it was overdue for service and I did not want to risk damaging it. So we all pile in the POs Scion with his business name (cleaning duh) plastered on it.

As usual nobody comes to the door as we take turns (Po and I and the other two Bros) doing the territory. A string of six trailers parked along a dirt road leaves our shoes caked with mud and dust up to our knees. I take note of the POs ruined car interior and think that could have been mine.

I have mixed emotions towards this man as he is one of the most demented yet vulnerable people I have ever met.

His wife died recently (in agony) of cancer and he took on additional duties (like being PO, teaching P School, a language school etc) rather than taking care of her. He also DF'ed his fourth daughter during the illness leaving his dying wife with NO family eligible to visit her. Instead the Sister from the congo took turns cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, bed pan duty etc while the Bros cut his grass.

Anyway, at one of the last houses we tried to place some stale WTs with a "love your neighbor" theme and got a door slammed in our faces. He waited till we got back in the car, described it to the other Bros and told us "You see Brothers, that kind of persecution proves that we are doing something right!"

I'd been waiting for that one so I put on my best village idiot face and answered back "Yes 'Brother' we get persecuted even worse than the Jews did in Nazi Germany!"

So I got the lecture about how lots of JWs died there and I answered "Yes, all three of them were loyal to Jehovah to the end" That ended the discussion pretty much.

I predict a short meeting in the very near future with you and three other nice gentlemen just wanting to "correct your thinking"

Let us know how the meeting went. Better yet, please record it for our listening pleasure.

By the same logic, I could be cold-calling people and when they hang up, I can claim persecution too.

I've heard that "we're [JWs] the most persecuted people on earth."

That so? I can think of a few million Iraqi citizens who would beg to differ....

LOL better correct me quick because we're moving in two weeks!

Obviously I'm a little more annoyed than usual; oh I can live with the Pioneer couples describing the "dangers" of inviting worldly neighbors for a meal/party/play with the kids party etc. but I just got blown away by something that hit really close.

My DF'ed BIL (in at 16 y/o and DF'ed at 19) fell asleep while driving with his wife and two daughters in the car. All four were injured in the accident and the guy's own siblings refused to visit them in the Hospital.

I'm sure that my comments to my other BIL, the elder, will earn me some correcting as well.

What? only 3 JWs died in the camps?

I thought that there was like 10,000 dubs in the camps. I can't believe that only 3 died. -What a bummer for these people who delight in sick stuff like that...

    -K
