One of my items at www.43things.com is to take more pictures. So, since I had the day off from both of my jobs, after I took my dad out for dinner, I headed over to Rochester, Minnesota's famed Silver Lake to take some frozen pictures. Tell me what you think of them...

Number 4 is my fave - even though it appears to be slightly out of focus (on this monitor at least! I'll check again on my laptop which is better), it works.
The 1 and 2 were too blue for me, but out of them I liked 2 most, apart from the snowhole and the wire in the foreground which distracted me from the rest of the scene (they could be cropped down a little maybe?)
3 looks out of focus but because of the many small subjects (birds?!), the 'out of focus' doesn't do it for this one.
Number 5, I found was still slightly too blue - did you take this one with filters on or was that natural?
disclaimer - emo has no photographic skills whatsoever and these are therefore entirely subjective opinions dictated by personal taste!! (But she hopes her comments are helpful)

Some of 'em are nice....I'd keep my finger off the zoom button if I were you though. The color is highly saturated...I like it...Did you color correct them or are these raw?

Thanks guys.
I just discovered zoom on my camera yesterday so those are the first ones I've taken like that.
This camera is pretty old (for a digital one) and for some reason it always colors everythign wrong. I used to have aprogram to fix that, but now I'm using a freeware program that I found online and I have to do color adjustments manually. Since I dont have that great of eye for color, I usually just go heavy on one color or another and call it intentional
I was going to crop them a little more, but then I kind of liked them the way they were.
Thanks for the comments.
