Did you know any "ambitious" JW's?

I remember when the elders told us that it's not ok for a JW to be too ambitious.

Wanting to have a big job, big house, lots of money, was not good at all.

Prior to that, I always thought that being "ambitious" was something very good.

NO! Ambition is from De Debbil! Shame for emulating Satan's example, Brother JH!

You will wash windows and learn to like it.

The one ambitious JW I knew was aiming to reach a high position in the org. I thought he was very spiritual with all his special pioneering but in fact he was after self promotion, trying to please his superiors, and he finally got a good appointment in Bethel.

As a teenager, I was told that I was building treasures in this system. The end was close and I would miss out with my ambitious desires. Now, I am blessed with accomplishing many of my goals, while that body of elders are in their 70's and 80's with poor health. They speak to me but I can tell the You A$$Ho^% look that they give me, proving that I was right not to keep pioneering and quit my job as suggested.

Almost all elders in my "neighbour congregation" (well I am DA, so I refer to terms I used before) are all executes, earning way beyound average. Most elders in the congergation I attended are executives, or similar, making much more than the average. Still they tell the flock to be humble and not using the world to the full (In my country, all tax revenues are listed on the internet, free for everyone to see). I even told our PO that, why, was he not way to ambitious in his careerbuilding in order to give a talk at the assembly urging the audience to be modest, not being materialistic etc.... Now, he had never been amibitious (although he actually manouvered his place into his executive position, after intially not getting the position, very few in the congregation knows about that). He told me that his work was challenging, that is why he pursued it. Still his wife is denied a car, having to work night shifts at the hospital.

Yes i've heard the JW Elders say things like this. But to me it makes no sense because take King Solomon for example, now he had to be the most ambitious man on earth at his time. A lot of his ambitions were of a secular nature i.e building projects, landscape projects etc. Now Jehovah approved of Solomon and all of these activities until his foreign wives led him astray, so doesn't this tell you that this JW idea is NOT biblically based?
