    Hi All,

Some time back I was in the grocery store and met a person that I had studied with about 30 years ago. Her husband is the PM or whatever they call it today in the congregation. Her children are faithful JWs also. She said that she had never thanked me for bringing her into the "truth" and she wanted to thank me now.

I was speachless, what could I say? She doesn't know of my Apostate view of the org. now. I didn't respond. What would you have said?

They are good people, I still love them, what could I have said?

    Ken P.

Instinct took over and I think you did the right thing. The happy JW's aren't the problem.

It's the unhappy ones trying to get out in one piece. This doesn't seem to be one of those cases.

    Good for you (((((undecided)))))!!!!

Dungbeetle...so much dung, so little time...

it is all well and good thay think thay are happy but you know the nature of the beast. you can't blame yourself for there choices, at the same time there is a certain level of responsibility we all understand that.
in reading your post, i think you wanted to say that you were sorry for what you did to them. i also think that would have been fine. it might even help with any feelings of guilt you might be experiencing.
then too, some times there is nothing to be said. i wish you well

    Undecided,

Wow, that was a sticky wicket. I don't know what you could have said other than what WillyThink suggested. I'm glad you posted this so that we can give it some thought in case it happens to us.
