“The mission is great preparation for marriage,” Elder Ward laughs as he mixes his Kool-Aid.
“That was the most frustrating lesson I’ve ever been in,” Elder Triplet says afterward. “He likes the Church. He thinks it’s true."

I think LDS and WTS may be subsidiaries of the same company.

This is cool. Haven't read it yet, but I want to. I have family that are "Mormon wannabes." I always wonder where the similarities begin and end, and if the LDS is as much a cult as the WT or not. I understand their beliefs, when compared to mainstream Christianity, make the WT's teachings look pretty dull.

BTW, there used to be web site that proposed the LDS and WTBS were the same org, both run by some sort of shadowy cabal. I tend to doubt this is true, however. Not that it wouldn't be funny.

The story is that both the founder of the Mormons and the JWs (Bible students) were in fact high level free masons so they are believed to be offshoots of masonry. Both are high pressure high control organisations.

Well, for whatever reason there's no information on basic Mormon teachings or tactics given on them at the meetings.

That's one reason I left actually was cuz of, believe it or not, the Mormons! (I'm an active Mormon now... j/k)... I couldn't get it out of my head how similar they were to the Witnesses, obviously if they'r eboth similar, then BOTH can't be right....WHY are they so similar I started asking myself? Well.....I finally got my answer-cuz they're both high-control organizations that take over people's lives and both think they're the only right one. Both preach. Both have a strong sense of community. Both have a high level of morality they live by. WEEEE!!! I'm not a witness anymore! :) Thank you Mormonism for being just as crazy as the Witnesses...yay.
