Have you noticed any phrases being repeated like a mantra in the media? It could be in movies, the news, radio, newspapers, gameshows, etc. I have noticed one. It's 'save the world'. I'm not much of a media buff. I only watch a bit of tv, movies now and then, no newspapers, not much tv news. I used to be big time into all of that. Within the bit of entertainment that i do take in, the above mentioned phrase was repeated consistently in the serieses. They are, avatar, the last airbender and heroes. I haven't watched the gore gospel good news (an inconvenient truth), so, i don't know if it's in there. Are there any catch phrases that you have noticed in the media that you watch/play/participate in?

I hate that meaningless 'War on terror' phrase. They may as well go and declare a 'War on anger'

New World Order and Middle East Road Map are two that annoy me.

No doubt there are many that wash over me. However, my biggest annoyance is sports commentators using metaphors and then saying "literally" in front of them: eg, "Smith has literally run himself into the ground" or "Smith has literally entered a war zone".

    Grrrrrrr
