Just watched this movie. Does anyone know where to find the true version of this event? All I can seem to find is that it happenned in Central America somewhere, and that everyone may have died.

I think this shoudl be taken with a pinch of salt - I don;t think it was a true story anymore than Open Water 1 was true. It was based very loosely on a couple disappearing when out diving but the rest of the film was made up as of course no one was actually there.
I absolutely loved Open Water 2 - thought it was an excellent movie and ten times better than the first one. So tense I could hardly watch.
