I wonder why that freak alcoholic lawyer turned theologian perceived the number 144 000 to be literal when its entire context is symbolic. Did he do it to destroy the essence of the Christian faith of most dubs? Let's not forget the "other sheep" are not part of the New Covenent which renders them useless as Christians and of an undefined status.
