How does the angels actually help in the preaching work ? how does one know if they are guided?
and since some other religions are growing because of them spreading the "gospel", could they also be getting help from the angels?

Jesus truly knows his sheep and both God and Christ have the capability to read hearts, I would think that whoever heart is right and wants to serve God, they could easily direct a person to find them and for that person to continually seek them.
