    I certainly did.

On the real Nisan 14... Sunday April 1st.

Shared Communion with 500+ other believers after one of the children's choirs sung praises to our Lord Jesus.

Wore a pair of gray dress slacks with a black belt and a short-sleeved gray and black-checked Polo and my silver chain and Cross.

Afterwards, went to Ruby Tuesday and had a light supper with some of my closest friends.

    It was a refreshing evening...

No yadda yadda yadda about the "Faithless Deceitful Slave"

No yadda yadda yadda about only 144,000 can eat the crackers and drink the grape juice

So, did you enjoy the Memorial?

Hmm....I thought Nissan 14 started last night.......The Jewish Passover started last night too..........am I missing something?

Oh man, you're going straight to Hell in a handbag Honesty!! Showing such gross disrespect by wearing a short-sleaved shirt AND a cross?! Tsk, tsk, tsk.......And don't you know that we're not supposed to go out anywhere after the Memorial anymore? Detracts from.......something.....but I'm not sure what. Oh ya, I remember: we're not supposed to go out afterwards and ENJOY ourselves. I remember some duffus telling us years ago that we shouldn't even have a glass of wine at home either before or after the Memorial, because Jehovah might take that to mean we think we're in the New Covenant.

I certainly didn't enjoy the one I went to, just felt really drained afterwards.

I think the key word here is duffus , I always went out after The Memorial, either to someones house or to a resturant! Of course being apart of a few congergations I could tell the vast deference in attitude from one to another!

My son and I went last night, I sat in the front row, smile on my face and head held high! One of my good friends that I have know for 20 years gave the talk, probably one of the better ones I have heard. I must state that the Hall I went to was probably the most loving congergation that I have ever been apart of, so it was hard to see some friends that I have known for most of my life. Though most of them said hi, shook my hand and said it was good to see me, it still saddened me that they feel they are pleasing God by not associating with me!

One reason why I wanted to go is my son has developed a bad attitude towards God and religion. He has started to have a real hatred for JW's, I wanted to show him that even though they do things that we don't agree with we need to be the better than that! I told him we are doing the right and classy thing by showing up and being respectful.

    Kerj,

That is so cool (what you did with your son). I will use this as an example if I run into similiar situation with my children.
