No Propecy Fulfilled in the Last 79 Years

It amazes me how the WTS keeps on telling its members about how they're seeing bible prophecy being fulfilled today. However, just look at when the last significant JW prophecy was recorded: 1928.

What happened in 1928? It was the fulfillment of the final trumpet blast of Revelation at a JW convention in Detroit, Michigan. After that, there were other failed attempts at trying to fulfill prophecy:

    1975: Armageddon
    1914 Generation: Armageddon

So, does the JW religion REALLY have Jehovah's blessing if they haven't had a noteworthy fulfilled prophecy in the last 79 years? If they were chosen by Jesus in 1919, could it be possible that Jesus dropped them in favor of another religion after 1928? Or is it possible that the JWs just make all this stuff up?

JWs say a lot of things that show either ignorance, wishful thinking or plain old mind control. Some examples:

"We had such a great meeting!" Truth be told it was boring as s**t, and they can't remember a word of it.

"Prophecy is being fulfilled, the end is coming, things are getting so bad" or some version of this. Truth is as Nosferatu said, what prophecy? The world has its problems but it is not on the brink of catastrophe either.

"Religion is about to be destroyed!" Yeah right. I won't even dignify that one with an explanation!

"Oh I missed you at the meeting! I love you so much!" Really, than why don't you remember my name? Why didn't you call? Why do you want me to spend 10-15 hours a week at some stupid meeting rather than care for myself and my family!

The list goes on and on and on....

It takes a great deal of imagination on the part of the Watchtower Society and a great deal of gullibility on the part of JWs to believe that the seven trumpets mentioned in Revelation represents announcements made at those assemblies in the 1920s. Even as a JW I found the explanation hard to swallow. It's a wonder that the Watchtower leaders haven't discarded this along with the "generation" and the 1935 date.

I would say that is VERY possible.

Baudolino, written by Umberto Eco, contains not more truth than WT lit. However, it's way more interesting to read.

They made everything up that's why over time it became exposed as a deception. They concocted all those stories (being uniquely chosen in 1919) in order to give themselves credibility so as to promote their lies successfully. They have a 100% failure rate in their predictions and their overall doctrine is full of holes. Doesn't sound like they enjoy divine direction.

The only people who believe that that was a fulfillment of prophecy are the jws.

I always had trouble with the 7 trumpet blasts being fulfilled by 7 conventions when I was a jw. According to Revelation, these were earth-shattering events, and I couldn't see how a series of conventions by what was then an insignificant religion could possibly fill the bill.

The jws have yet to have a prophecy come true as far as II'm concerned. They have had plenty of failures though.

    Thank you!

I have asked that question time and again, "Is there ANYTHING that the WTBS fortold been fullfilled?"

No one has answered me as of yet...
