Quite Sad

Saw the woman my mum studies with today. We were getting the bus somewhere and i shouted her over since i knew it passed the Kingdom Hall and i wanted my chance to show her were human after the JW's and not all evil.

What really made me feel sad was how nice and genuine she is and how it won't be much longer before she's another drone out pushing magazines down peoples throats.

Somehow dubs seem to turn partially heartless because while they are great with each other and the best possible role-models on the inside, they can be quite horrible to both family and other close friends who once played a big part in their lives.

Yeah, it brings me down to see another one step into the hall, and fall for the trap once more. You wish you could tell them to get out....

Is she guaranteed to become a jw KW13? If she hasn't made the commitment yet, there is always the chance that she will back away from the brink - let's hope so.

I agree with you about what happens to people when they decide to put the watchtower before friends and family though, it is very sad to see.

At best thing i can hope for is that she sees it for what it is, but the pressure on studies is huge because dubs give them every reason to accept invitations to meetings e.t.c and next thing your baptized - you already start making 'changes' to please a study conductor and stop him ending the study.

With my Stepdad and Mum studying with her, chances are she will become one.
